Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct auto and marine parts, provide expert advice, and ensure an excellent shopping experience. This role requires a passion for the automotive and marine industries, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and ascertain their needs and preferences to recommend suitable products.
- Provide detailed information and expert advice on auto and marine parts, ensuring customers make informed decisions.
- Assist customers in locating specific parts and, if necessary, order them from suppliers.
- Maintain a well-organized, clean, and fully stocked sales floor.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and new arrivals.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
- Participate in inventory management, including stock counts and replenishment.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and actively engage in team meetings and training sessions.

This job requires that the applicant likes to help people in need and to help them out of a jam in their time of need.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in automotive or marine fields is a plus.
- Proven experience in a retail sales role, preferably in the auto or marine parts industry.
- Strong knowledge of auto and marine parts and accessories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50 lbs.
- A customer-focused mindset with a passion for helping others.
