Now hiring an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a courteous and professional demeanor with experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other general maintenance skills.
This roving Apartment Maintenance Technician position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, general maintenance repairs and tasks including service requests, turnover functions, and building maintenance, providing a quality living environment to residents.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responds to emergency situations appropriately.

Complete assigned maintenance requests effectively, efficiently and professionally while adhering to resident notice of entry restrictions.
- Complete the make-ready process of vacant units as instructed.

Complete assignments and projects related to all aspects of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, appliance, and hardware repair.

Minor patch/paintwork, installation of filters and smoke alarms, lock changes, cabinet repairs, etc.

Maintain the highest safety standards, compliance with company policy and city and state guidelines.
- Exhibit compliance with all work-related activities with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.

Performs other duties and projects as may be directed, assigned, and required by the position.
Qualifications
- One year of experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar.

Good communication, self-motivated and customer service oriented.
- Must be extremely organized, oriented, and able to multi-task.

Exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in their quality of work.

Maintain regular attendance and follow an assigned, flexible work schedule.

Understanding and adherence to company policy on water intrusion, mold, asbestos, or handling of hazardous materials.

Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements:
- Work both indoors and outdoors with low to moderate noise levels.

Regularly lift and carry up to 30 lbs. with or without assistance.

Ability to see, talk, hear, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, walk, stand, sit, turn/twist and manipulate body positions and equipment/tools required by the job.

Ability to work in confined spaces or heights.
-
Ability to climb ladders, and work with arms raised overhead.
