As a Front Office Receptionist for Sheridan Eye Care Clinic, you will be responsible for answering phones, greeting patients, creating and updating/verifying patient and insurance information in the computer system. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. A customer-oriented approach is essential. The goal is to make patients and visitors feel comfortable and valued while in our clinic.
Other Skills and Responsibilities
- Collect copay, co-insurance, deductibles and/or past due balances, post into computer system while maintaining and balancing cash drawer.
- Confirm medical chart is complete and financial responsibilities is settled before patient leaves.
- Retrieve incoming faxes daily, work and distribute and scan as appropriate.
- Electronic filing
- Customer Service: Calls are answered timely, professionally and respectfully. Applies good listening skills as well as problem solving skills.
- Accounts are notated thoroughly.
- Maintain cleanliness of lobby.
- Additional duties as assigned by Manager.
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings.
- We require a clean background check.
- We DO NOT offer health insurance.
- Pay depends on experience.
