QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
The Quality Control Manager position at Flexicore of Texas is a key position within the organization and must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position to the highest standards of quality and integrity. This position is reserved for a candidate who is deemed to be reliable, trustworthy, and of good character. The candidate will meet the experience and industry certification requirements listed below, and be able to fulfill the responsibilities of the position:
EXPERIENCE:
- Not less than 10 years of precast/prestressed concrete quality control experience.
- Not less than 5 years of experience managing others, preferably in a Quality Control Department.
- Not less than 2 years of experience working on State Department of Transportation projects.
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office applications and the operation of standard office equipment.
INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS:
- ACI Level I Concrete Field Testing Technician
- ACI Certified Laboratory Technician (passed Aggregate and Strength Test examinations)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (non-exclusive):
- Manage all quality control operations by following quality control policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership in creating and implementing inspection criteria and procedures.
- Direct the activities of QC personnel to assure all inspections and tests are timely performed.
- Maintain records of all quality, testing, raw materials, and inspection reports.
- Analyze inspection and test reports and make quality improvement recommendations.
- Prepare company for DOT and/or other outside agency plant audits and corrective action responses to deficiencies.
- Prepare and submit Non-Compliance Reports (NCR’s) for TxDOT or other outside agency projects.
- Support Sales personnel with quality control submittals as needed.
- Develop concrete mix designs as well as evaluate concrete mix designs for performance and economy.
- Stay current with all DOT (Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana) and Industry standards related to quality compliance.
- Conduct regular meetings with QC personnel to discuss any opportunities for improvement.
- Provide a status of QC related matters in the weekly production scheduling meeting.
- Maintain a record of all QC personnel responsibilities and current certifications.
- Assist customers, vendors, sales, production, and delivery personnel as required to investigate and resolve product quality issues.
- Assist in day-to-day Quality Control activities as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39,298.00 - $77,746.00 per year
