We are looking for an *Experienced* Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our team and enjoy a dynamic, collaborative culture. The ideal individual will work hard and be results driven, but also have fun along the way.
Summary: Coordinates all aspects of the shipping process, including the packing, shipping and receiving process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- MUST be Computer Savvy and familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Inspect and keep records on all incoming shipments. Includes verifying items and quantities, receiving products into the system, proper labeling and proper warehouse locations.
Working with Quality Department to ensure all materials are QC released before received into Great Plains.
- Prepare all outgoing shipments to specifications. Includes identifying customer orders via open order reports, packing of boxes/wrapping of pallets, label verification as well as labeling of pallets.
- Notifying Purchasing or Customer Service of any inbound material discrepancies or issues.
- Scheduling and coordinating daily schedule and route of HBT driver and truck. This includes inter- company transfers, vendor pick-ups and customer deliveries.
- Prepare paperwork for outgoing shipments including packing slips. COA's and BOL's.
- Negotiating and maintaining approved Freight Carriers.
- Scheduling carrier pickups via phone or email with multiple freight carriers.
- Operating lift trucks and using hand jacks to load and unload materials, move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Directs Assistants in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
- Purchasing of necessary shipping materials and supplies.
- Successfully navigate a dynamic, fast changing environment.
- Operate with minimal day-to-day supervision.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibility
Education and/or Experience: This position requires 2 years of Shipping & Receiving Experience. Experience in a business-related field is a plus. College degree preferred
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general office correspondence. Ability to write business correspondence and respond appropriately to questions from managers and employees. Ability to speak and present ideas both orally and in writing.
Mathematical Skills: Strong aptitude in dealing with figures and amounts related to the analysis of sales data and cost analysis.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to analyze data, procedures and processes.
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to manipulate databases. Deep understanding of various Microsoft products.
