An Accounting Assistant serves clerical and financial functions around the office by creating, filing, and maintaining financial documents; they also assist accounting personnel and other managers within the department. An accounting clerk possesses knowledge of basic procedures in bookkeeping and accounting and performs secretarial work such as answering incoming phone calls, answering routine inquiries, and providing front-desk service to all manager and or customer inquiries. The following are job duties requirements.
Pick up Daily Sales Reports from all restaurants
Prepare daily sales report for all restaurants and issue to copy to all Management
Verify and input daily sales from all entities in the Waterstreet/H20 entities. Notify management of any manner that does not appear to be correct (Over/Short).
Verify all house charges, paid outs, cash deposits and credit card entries on daily sales
Ability to maintain and manage general ledger accounts.
Reconcile all bank accounts for the Waterstreet H20 entities. Review reconcilements with the Accounting Supervisor on a monthly basis.
Enter all House charges or payments into the Account Receivable (A/R) Ledger and balance to the G/L as required.
Deposit A/R checks received by mail or B&C department and record checks in the General Ledger
Prepare statements for A/R Customers monthly or on the desired frequency request by management or the customer.
Prepare an A/R aging report weekly. Notify management of any issues concerning current or delinquent accounts.
Post all hand written transfers on weekly basis.
Process Sales Use Tax, L/B/W Mixed Beverage Tax and L/B/W Sales & Use Tax monthly
Assist as requested with annual 1099 statements and insuring that the necessary tax information is obtain from merchants and or bands.
Prepare or assist in preparing any reports as directed by management.
Assist management in any areas they deem as necessary.
Ability to cross train in all accounting departments such Accounts Payable and Payroll for back up purposes

Experience with CYMA preferred but not required.
