League School is seeking a Computer/Technology Special Education Teacher to work in school age program (ages 5 -21).
Responsibilities for certified Special Ed teacher include but are not limited to:
- Teach small group computer classes to students with disabilities, ages 5-21.
- Instruct and supervise teaching assistants and substitute teaching assistants in appropriate techniques to work effectively with children.
- Evaluate student progress on an on-going basis.
- Participates in program planning and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborates on school projects and events.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree a must; Master's degree preferred.
- NYS certification in Educational Technology.
- NYS Certification in Special Education and/or CTE 7-12 preferred.
- Experience teaching in special education setting, preferably with students with mental health issues.
- Good organizational, communication and writing skills.
- Available F/T including summer
