Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance from an accredited university and minimum of 5 years’ preferably in Trucking or Logistics.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
- Practical knowledge of technical accounting procedures, month end closing, JE, and accountant reconciliations.
- Excellent analytical skills to evaluate data, identify variances, suggest improvements and resolve discrepancies.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online, TMS Trucking Experience Ideal, Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven business environment.
- Advanced knowledge with budget, projection and cash management.
Key Duties/General Accountabilities
- Ensures compliance with internal policies, agency rules and regulations, and US GAAP.
- Monitors, reviews and verifies accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness and adequacy of supporting documentation, research issues and projects as necessary.
- Reconcile bank accounts, amortization schedules, factoring reserve, Month and Year End closes, and accruals.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules. Prepares, posts journal entries.
- Lead, research and assist preparation of annual budgets. Reviews data for accuracy prior to distribution.
- Perform clerical accounting duties including billing, A/R, A/P, and payroll functions.
- Provides input for the development of accounting applications, reports, forms, records and documented procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
