JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective: To work independently providing maintenance on commercial heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards providing the customer with a high-quality experience. In some situations may perform diagnostic calls. Systems sizes can go up to 50 tons. No chiller experience required!
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full time position. General business hours are Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p with some weeknights, weekends and evenings.
Required Qualifications/Experience

Must pass drug and background screens

Valid driver's license and insurable through company insurance carrier

Minimum of 1 year HVAC commercial service work
- Able to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing

Ability to work with tools used in the job in a safe manner
Preferred Qualifications/Experience

Completion of HVAC training program
Essential Duties
- Arrive at jobsite at scheduled time and location as dispatched

Relocate from one jobsite to another jobsite as dispatched during the workday

Report to dispatcher when arriving and leaving jobsite
-
Operate company vehicle as needed
-
Follow instructions from supervisor and/or dispatcher and carry out in timely manner

Report problems with company tools or vehicle promptly
-
Report problems with equipment to Service Dispatcher to expedite parts delivery
-
Communicate with customers and collect C.O.D. on maintenance and demand service visits as directed

Ability to work staggered schedule if required
-
Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times
-
Complete all service related forms properly
-
Provide all customers with new / renew maintenance agreements
-
Perform routine preventative maintenance on light commercial equipment with minimal assistance and supervision, including completion of maintenance checklists in full

Inform and educate customers on additional products or services available through company

Inform customer of replacement options following company guidelines

On call status for emergency service as required

Develop basic knowledge and ability to layout and install low voltage wiring

Develop basic knowledge of diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques

Develop knowledge of proper interpretations of testing devices

Develop soldering skills

Develop enhanced customer service skills.

Perform filter changes utilizing filter checklist paperwork unassisted

Develop skills to perform planned maintenance on light commercial systems utilizing maintenance checklist with assistance of a Service Technician

Inform and educate customers about commercial planned maintenance agreements

Acquire commercial planned maintenance agreements

Develop basic knowledge and ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams

Work Environment: Environment consists of extreme variations due to conditions, including but not limited to: heat, cold, wet, wind, sunlight, absence of light, insects, animals, mammals, reptiles and other conditions deemed by worksite.
Physical Demands: Reaching, bending, stooping, walking, sitting, crawling, and squatting. Holding, carrying objects and lifting - including heavy objects such as equipment up to 200 pounds. Use of tools and equipment such as hand tools and ladders including extension ladders.
