Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in the real estate and construction industry and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Payroll Processing:
- Process payroll for employees, including calculating hours, deductions, and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and reporting requirements.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and report variances.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, executives, and other team members to provide financial insights and support.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) MS Office Suite, and excel
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to product clear financial reports.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 3+ years of experience in related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
