Job Title: Toddler Teacher
Job Summary:
As a Toddler Teacher, your primary role is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for toddlers, fostering their early development and helping them acquire essential skills. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and fostering positive communication with parents or guardians.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Curriculum Development:**
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that support the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of toddlers.
- Create a structured daily schedule that includes a balance of individual and group activities.
2. **Care and Supervision:**
- Provide a safe, clean, and secure environment for toddlers.
- Offer personal care, including diapering, feeding, and attending to other basic needs.
- Supervise toddlers during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety.
3. **Social and Emotional Development:**
- Foster positive relationships among toddlers and encourage social interaction.
- Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and self-expression in young children.
4. **Communication with Parents:**
- Establish open and transparent communication with parents or guardians.
- Share information about a child's daily activities, developmental milestones, and any concerns promptly and professionally.
5. **Observation and Assessment:**
- Conduct regular observations and assessments of each toddler's development.
- Use assessment data to tailor activities and provide individualized support.
6. **Parent Involvement:**
- Encourage parental involvement through regular meetings, events, and providing resources to support learning at home.
7. **Health and Safety Compliance:**
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including maintaining a clean and sanitized classroom environment.
- Follow proper protocols for handling illnesses, emergencies, and safety drills.
8. **Professional Development:**
- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education through ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Relevant experience working with toddlers in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with parents and colleagues.
- Must be punctual!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
License/Certification:
