Description:Overview of the Role
- The Training Manager is responsible for managing a continuous learning environment to ensure ongoing development of all employees, which reflects the strategic priorities of the Credit Union.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop training programs, including onboarding, technical skills, soft skills, leadership development, and compliance training.
- Create and update training materials, manuals, and e-learning content.
- Conduct training needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and collaboration with department heads.
- Analyze and identify skills gaps and develop targeted training interventions.
- Regularly participate in teller, member service, lending and call center activities to monitor and identify educational opportunities.
- Facilitate training sessions in various formats, such as in-person, virtual, and hybrid.
- Coordinate with external training providers and vendors as needed.
- Develop and implement evaluation tools to measure training effectiveness and impact.
- Gather feedback from trainees and stakeholders to continuously improve training programs.
- Lead and mentor a team of trainers in their creation and delivery of content. Coordinate with appropriate subject matter experts throughout the credit union for training delivery and ensure SMEs are provided necessary facilitation training.
- Collaborate with HR and department leaders to ensure training programs align with business objectives.
- Manage the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure effective use of e-learning tools.
- Stay updated with the latest training technologies and methodologies.
- Ensure all training programs comply with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Prepare and present regular reports on training activities, outcomes, and ROI to management.
- Develop and manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Ensure the VP of Human Resources and Compliance is kept fully informed

Qualifications
- A two-year degree OR five years of similar experience
- Previous experience in training within a managerial capacity
- Previous experience training in the financial industry preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Should be proficient in the use of PowerPoint and other presentation programs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

- Effectively communicate within the department to ensure the flow of ideas and information
- Remain open and available to provide assistance to other members of the credit union

Work Environment
- Office setting, based in the Administration Building
- Occasional travel may be required to visit other GPO locations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,523.11 - $71,563.00 per year
