The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a Vice President of Marketing to join the Singlewire team. As part of the Senior Leadership team, you will work closely with the executive team in all elements of this leadership role. The VP of Marketing will manage all aspects of marketing, from lead generation through sales acceptance and the product management feedback loop. Responsible for all marketing oversight, with a focus on Digital Marketing, Lead Generation, Channel Partner Marketing, Marketing Operations and overall Strategy and Leadership.
If you are a master at translating KPIs into actionable insights, have a deep understanding of digital marketing and lead generation best practices, and possesses a marketing leadership philosophy that is focused on the return on sales & marketing investment, you’ll love the challenge of this position. We are looking for a candidate that has SaaS experience supporting similar software technology organizations selling B2B to medium and large enterprise and the entire K12 space. This position is based in Madison, WI.
Performance of the Role:
- Be a key member of the executive team, working hand in hand, with a constant focus on revenue growth, scaling customer acquisition, positioning, messaging, branding, segmentation, marketing strategy, and creative direction
- Develop and execute a digital-forward marketing plan to generate leads which result in substantial revenue growth for the organization
- Own and take responsibility for the annual marketing plan and budget, govern and optimize spend for ROI on digital marketing and lead generation efforts
- Further develop an all-star team of marketing subject-matter-experts, provide tactical guidance, prioritization, and cohesion to marketing activities
- Partner with sales leadership to implement and execute a robust lead generation and nurturing engine, resulting in qualified leads and opportunities which translate to top-line revenue growth
- Oversee all internal and external communications activities, including press releases, customer newsletters and company announcements
- Further expand the company’s brand and product marketing initiatives.
- Define buyer personas, build buyer journey maps, and create and architect targeted messaging and campaigns
- Lead the go-to-market launch of new products and assist the product management team with market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to help drive future product innovation
- Create and implement effective sales and marketing tools, including sales collateral, presentations, customer success stories and other sales tools to enhance the productivity of the sales team
- Continue to evaluate the organization’s marketing strategies, approaches and policies and make rapid recommendations to meet changing markets and competitive conditions
You May Be Right for Us If You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years related experience; prior CMO or Senior Marketing Leadership experience required, ideally in a software/SaaS business that has scaled
- Deep expertise in B2B lead generation, digital marketing and campaign planning
- Knowledge of marketing KPIs and analytics with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Experience with and knowledge of marketing ops tools and technology
- Prior experience taking the company and related applications, products, and/or services into new markets by leveraging an existing brand and market position
- Proven success supporting sales organizations with innovative marketing programs and pipeline-building activities that complement corporate sales goals
- The presence to converse with industry analysts, customers, prospects and key partners regarding the marketing strategy and corporate direction
- A track record of recruiting, motivating, and developing high-performing marketing teams
- Strong content/insight development and story-telling capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation skills
- Exceptional project management, planning and budgeting skills
- A strong sense of urgency and ownership over projects and deliverables
