Project Manager - Heavy Civil
Job Summary:
A Project Manager oversees all aspects of one large, or several small construction projects from award to completion to ensure its success and alignment with our Company principles. The Project Manger serves as the primary liaison with Clients and guarantees their satisfaction, while respecting the company's established economic goals and safety initiatives. Embodies the Company Values of Safety, Drive, Integrity and Teamwork.
Essential Functions:
Project Management
· Acts as lead Company liaison with Owner to ensure exceptional Client satisfaction
· Ensures project compliance with contract specifications, policies, regulations, laws and permits.
· Prepares or oversees labor and cost budgets; submits monthly pay estimates
· Prepare and oversee work plans developed to established company procedures and best practices
· Prepares and negotiate change orders when needed
Scheduling
· Working with a scheduling consultant, prepare and maintain a Baseline schedule, updated monthly schedule and distributed to all stakeholders; prepares recovery schedule when required.
Vendors and Subcontractors
· Responsible for subcontractor selection, contract execution and coordination throughout the duration of the project.
Workforce Leadership
· Assures project adheres to the most stringent OSHA, FRA, EM385, Client or Company standards
· Provides learning opportunities to develop work force.
· Promotes a project site culture that maintains exceptional safety, company growth and worker/client satisfaction.
· Serves as direct supervisor to project engineers and superintendents assigned to projects.
Qualifications
· 10+ years of construction management experience w/ cost control responsibility
· BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
· Active P.E. (preferred)
· 5+ years of management and people development
· Experience with P6 or other scheduling software
· Familiar with construction software such as Viewpoint or equivalent
· Familiar with Autocadd or Tekla drafting programs.
· Excellent writing and communication skills
· Strong organizational skills

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
