The IT Administrator will assist the IT Manager in maintaining AEW’s servers, networks, security, file systems, email, and software applications. They will additionally ensure functions of the department are meeting the needs of the organization and may assist in support, troubleshooting and maintenance.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Resolving Level 3 end user support and troubleshooting of administered infrastructure and software applications.
- Serving as the administrator of company networks, servers, security, file systems, email, and software applications.
- Ensuring implementation and full functionality of all company networks, servers, security, file systems, email, and software applications, including performing upgrades, installations and configuration when needed.
- Assisting the IT Department with installing and upgrading all departments’ software needs, including but not limited to Accounting & HR, Administration team, Architecture, CAD Design, Construction Services, Engineering, Marketing, and Survey.
- Overseeing IT inventory for servers, networks, security, file systems, email, and software applications including hardware & software purchasing, maintenance and documentation.
- Managing all database administration.
- Managing administration of WordPress for public website and company intranet.
- Assisting the IT Manager and GIS Group Lead with GIS infrastructure and application administration needs as-necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Minimum five to seven years of relevant IT experience in a business environment. Bachelor’s degree in a related IT capacity required. Knowledge of Windows Sever, Microsoft 365 environments, network administration, SQL server, and VMware required. Preferred certifications in: Windows Server Administration, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Security+, VMWare VCTA, VMWare VCP, and/or VMWare VCAP.
Skills:
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. This individual should be able to work independently as well as part of a team with the IT staff and other employees. Problem solving skills and critical thinking skills are important for this role. Must be detail oriented and maintain a high level of confidentially and trust.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position may require you to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to bend, kneel, climb, lift, work in confined spaces, etc. as needed to setup and access equipment. The daily schedule will generally be planned around AEW office hours, but there may be projects that require you to work after hours for planned upgrades, unexpected system failures, etc. which may require you to work outside your standard schedule and sometimes in the late evening/early morning hours.
