We are seeking a Maintenance Planner for a key client of ours in Freeport, Texas. You will be responsible for managing unplanned work orders, generating job plans (including labor, material, equipment, and services), creating job packets for field execution, and continually improving job plans via updates based on feedback. Maintenance planning covers areas such as: Rotating equipment repair, piping fabrication and repair (including support tasks like insulation and scaffolding), carpentry, painting, QA/QC, Inspection, etc. This position will operate on a 4x10 work schedule (Monday-Thursday). Responsibilities:
- Mange unplanned work orders
- Generating job plans (labor, material, equipment, and services)
Manage the unplanned work order backlog
- Review backlog and planning list
- Clarify incomplete or poorly defined work notifications
- Group work orders and/or notifications together that can be planned and completed as a single order
- Determine appropriate degree of planning
- Complete job plans to ensure the safe and efficient execution of all maintenance work
- Outsourcing specialty contractors and contract services
- Labor estimate and plan
- Working with Bill of materials
- Sourcing external resources and parts
- Sometimes working with special tools and equipment
- Identify and provide repair procedures as required (technical documents)
- Define support for Production to prepare/tag equipment, special permits, PPE, etc.
- Create job packets (Job Plans, Technical documentation, feedback form, etc)
- Build and validate job kits (transitional tasks)
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Specialist in the timely execution of emergency or critical priority jobs
- Assist with optimization of spare parts inventory
- Build and maintain Bill of Materials (BoMs)
- Identify jobs that require Management of Change (MoC)
- Create purchase requisitions and reservations for necessary materials, equipment, or services and orders for material
- Build task lists (job plan library) for recurring jobs
- Continually update task lists to ensure necessary changes or improvements are incorporated
- Ensure efficiencies are captured per job feedback forms
- Forward completed ready-to-schedule job packages to the Scheduler
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $69.49 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
