Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager, reporting directly to the COO, will be pivotal in overseeing the maintenance of production equipment and ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain all production equipment in good working order.
Perform all routine maintenance of equipment.
Coordinate all external contractors working on site.
Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program.
Establish and maintain a spare parts inventory.
Facilitate evaluation and recommendation of necessary equipment to ensure safety, improve efficiency and/or improve quality.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of repair and replacement of equipment/machinery.
Ability to perform routine maintenance.
Ability to perform lockout/tagout procedures.
Knowledge of appropriate equipment selection for production.
Ability to coordinate a preventative maintenance program.
Ability to schedule and maintain a maintenance documentation system.
Ability to clean equipment and work areas.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Climb stairs or ladders (both step and vertical), and work in elevated positions.
Stand for prolonged periods of time, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Working in a manufacturing facility environment with fumes and airborne particles and regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
Regular exposure to various chemicals.
Use of personal protective equipment to minimize the potential for injury (safety glasses or goggles, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and respirators).
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
