Overview of Position
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager manages the housekeeping function for the overall Hotel, guest rooms, and public lobby space to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and attractiveness. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will supervise of team of Housekeeping Room Attendants, House Persons, Office Coordinators, and Public Area Attendants.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting the Director of Housekeeping, Assistant Directors of Housekeeping and Housekeeping Manager in effectively monitoring preventative maintenance programs throughout the hotel; attending to all guest requests and ensure they are being completed in a timely manner; proactively assigning duties and responsibilities to the Housekeeping team; inspecting guest rooms for the highest level of quality; conducting coaching and counseling conversations as needed; and championing our pillars and guiding principles to ensure consistency and quality in the guest experience.
The Housekeeping Manager reports directly to the Director of Housekeeping.
Requirements
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the similar position, preferably in a luxury setting.
- Flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are necessary.
- Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation.
- Must be detailed oriented, excellent computer skills necessary.
- Have a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner.
- Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
- Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest.
