Position Description:
- Enhanced Central Gateway module Applications Engineer
- Lead component packaging and integration of ECG on multiple vehicle lines
- Ensure Programs’ work are met on time and with the highest quality. This includes: FEDEBOM, Packaging/Digital Buck, DPA Checks, WERS, eFDVS/FEDE, Subsystem/Supplier work plans, IVS SW release process, DVP&R, Engineering Signoff, etc.
- Develop work plans and lead resolution of ECG implementation and validation related issues
- Lead Design Validation and Production Validation for components of ECG
- Support prototype vehicle builds and production vehicle launches
- Lead current production/assembly plant issues associated with ECG features/parts
- Occasional travel to Assembly plants to support vehicle launch and production issues
- Lead quality and warranty analysis of production vehicles
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering as Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer software or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in product development in automotive electrical areas
- 5+ of experience with OEM Product Development tools or equivalent: FEDE, VSEM, WERS, AIMS, FEDEBOM, JIRA, Teamcenter, etc.
- PPAP and APQP knowledge.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge in OEM Product Development tools or equivalent: FEDE, VSEM, WERS (release management System), AIMS (issue tracking system), FEDEBOM, JIRA (software bugs tracking system), Teamcenter, etc.
- PPAP and APQP knowledge.
Experience Required:
- 10+ years of experience in product development in automotive electrical areas
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering as Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer software or equivalent
