JOB SUMMARY:
The Account Manager is responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships with schools and educational institutions while aggressively marketing GEC Tours to a wider audience of U.S. schools. This position collaborates with the Director of Program Development and Operations ensuring clients receive prompt and effective communication regarding any concerns, questions, or challenges that may arise throughout the entire program lifecycle from pre-trip planning to post-trip follow-up. The Account Manager develops and maintains positive relationships with school officials while understanding their specific needs, interests, and budget constraints. This position develops and implements targeted marketing campaigns to generate qualified leads among U.S. schools. The Account Manager reports to the Director of Teacher Programs and provides excellent customer service to team members and customers while demonstrating the company values and supporting the mission.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for building and nurturing strong relationships with schools and educational institutions while aggressively marketing GEC Tours to a wider audience of U.S. schools
- Collaborate with the Director of Program Development and Operations ensuring clients receive prompt and effective communication regarding any concerns, questions, or challenges that may arise throughout the entire program lifecycle from pre-trip planning to post-trip follow-up
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with school officials while understanding their specific needs, interests, and budget constraints
- Act as brand ambassador for GEC Tours, proactively reaching out to U.S. schools through various channels. This includes attending educational conferences, participating in trade shows, and networking with school officials.
- Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns (email marketing, social media advertising) to generate qualified leads among U.S. schools
- Leverage strong marketing efforts to identify and connect with U.S. schools that align with GEC Tours' program offerings
- Craft compelling proposals that address needs and showcase how GEC Tours can enhance their students' educational experience
- Negotiate contracts and finalize program details with client schools
- Provide regular updates to management on the status of their sales efforts and contribute to sales forecasting and planning processes
- Oversee the management of portal accounts for clients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information, documentation, and access to trip details
- Provide training and support to clients on how to navigate and utilize portal accounts effectively for trip planning and communication purposes
- Develop a detailed program schedule with clear logistics and daily plans
- Provide ongoing communication and support to U.S. schools throughout the planning and execution phases of the program
- Gather feedback from U.S. schools and participants after the program completion
- Analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement and enhance future program offerings
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and client satisfaction
- Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain industry knowledge and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 4 years of experience in sales or account management. Experience in educational travel or working with schools is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in CRM systems or sales tracking tools
- Proven track record of success in sales, particularly in lead generation and client acquisition
- Passion for education, travel, and making a positive impact on students' lives
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while accomplishing daily tasks
- Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills

Pay: $47,346.63 - $57,019.60 per year
