The
HR Coordinator will play a key role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the department. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR processes and contribute to the overall success of our organization.
Location: Philadelphia, PA (on-site Center City)
Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
- Maintain HR records, such as employee files, attendance records, and HR databases.
- Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and other HR events.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits and compensation programs.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Support performance management processes by tracking deadlines and assisting with performance reviews.
- Prepare HR-related reports and presentations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate HR initiatives and projects.
- Perform other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) as an HR Coordinator or relevant HR/administrative role.
- Knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
- Familiarity with HR software (e.g., HRIS, ATS) and MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
