Linde + Wiemann U.S., Inc. is looking to hire a Process Technician!
The Process Technician is responsible for repair, maintenance and servicing of machines, tools, equipment with a focus on meachatronics (mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics) and electrics. The Process Technician ensures a smooth and seamless flow of information and cooperation with the supervisor and all the departments associated with his or her area of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for prompt troubleshooting of production systems and active, solution-oriented support for Production.
- Repairs operating equipment or operating equipment systems with mechatronics and/or electrical/electronic components in compliance with the applicable safety regulations.
- Ensures that systems, machines, equipment and operating facilities are in good working order and free of hazards within the scope of his or her qualifications.
- Conducts or supports periodic safety inspection of systems and equipment subject to mandatory testing.
- Documents and archives maintenance and service work that is carried out.
- Indepentdent troubleshooting and diagnosis as well as fault rectification on the production systems.
- Responsible for determining and carrying out the type and scope of fault and damage rectification according to economic aspects.
- Ensures wear and spare parts requirements are met.
- Support in instructing trainees in the technical content of the relevant occupation.
- Support in adhering to and monitoring the company training plan and transfer plan for trainees.
- Complies with accident prevention, occupational safety and disaster prevention requirements in a preventative manner to prevent damage to persons, facilities, equipment and materials.
- Maintains confidentiality about internal company, product and trade secrets.
- Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to meet customer demands.
Experience:
- Completed Engineering or Industrial Engineering Studies in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing Technology or comparable qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience working in the automotive industry (project management)
- Experience with metal stamping tooling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.
- Experience with metallography strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Training:
- Associate Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field and/or completed vocational training as an electrician
- Knowledge of maintenance techniques and experience in the field of industrial maintenance
- Independent and autonomous work characterized by a high level of commitment
- PLC Knowledge (Siemens S5 and S7 preferred)
- Knowledge of MS Office Applications
