Job Summary:
This job is responsible for loading scrap material into the recycling extrusion line to achieve targeted production rates and pellet quality, while assessing the color and category of the film to be loaded. Place scrap material at the correct mixture percentages to achieve the pellet quality and color specifications. Take classified scrap film and stage it for input into the recycling pelletizing line. Operate a forklift with recycling line at production rates moving, locating, stacking, and counting scrap film to support production rates. The individual is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and radio frequency and bar code equipment and may be also required to perform other duties along with loading and unloading trucks. This job loads the recycle line with all materials needed to maintain production output.
Job Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Maintains input of scrap materials to ensure continuous production output of the recycle extruder.
Loads categorized scrap materials at the correct percentages to achieve the correct color.
Loads categorized scrap materials at the correct percentages to achieve the correct extruder pressures for label and other contaminates.
Moves bales of categorized scrap material to the production line for input.
Removes pallets and Gaylord boxes from the loading area.
Cut down rolls of scrap film for loading.
Weighs up scrap and maintains proper paperwork for end of shifts.
Keeps warehouse and staging area and work areas neat and clean.
Maintains proper inventory by using correct scanning procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
1-2 years operator’s experience, a plus
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have good communication skills
Must be team oriented and also be able to work independently
Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled
Must be flexible on working hours during heavy business days

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as eyewear and hearing protection. At times, may be required to use a safety harness during rail car work.
