San Diego Zoo is hiring part-time seasonal entertainment & event staff through Manpower of San Diego.
Now Casting applicants between 4'11-5'4.
Other heights will not be considered at this time
Event dates Start in July
Paid training and rehearsals start soon
Regular shifts are 11 am to 4 pm. Other shift times may vary.
We require that you have at least 3 days of availability between 11 am to 4 pm. per week.
NO experience is necessary, here is what you need
- A positive attitude, high level of energy, and commitment to quality
- Excellent guest service skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Accurately follow written and verbal direction
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit and/or walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to pick up and perform a simple choreographed dance routine
- Openly able to accept performance feedback and critique and adapt accordingly
- Maintain a positive and flexible attitude
- Must follow Zoo COVID-19 health guidelines
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Schedules are flexible but you must be available at least 3 shifts per week between July 1st to September 3rd
What to expect on a regular day-
Once you arrive you will get dressed as one of the Zoo mascots for a costume character meet & greet. You will perform in no more than 4, 30 min sets with 20 min rest and cool down periods between (Costume training is provided)
This is a seasonal position, but many seasonal employees return for the Fall and Winter events. Great job for students or part-time workers!
