Now hiring a Behavioral Health Crisis Services Administrator
Responsible for oversight, development, and implementation of a comprehensive crisis system to Improve integration and consistency of crisis services across the state. This position develops and fosters strong relationships with other MCOs, and key crisis stakeholders including crisis providers, 988, fire department, police, and state agencies. Develops and leads PHPs strategy for the crisis continuum and leads implementation efforts. Coordinates with PHPs behavioral health vendor, ensuring crisis network adequacy and responsiveness.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree, a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the provision and supervision of treatment service for individuals with mental health and SUDs required.

A minimum of three (3) years working in a crisis setting and two (2) years collaborating with crisis system stakeholders (i.e., first responders, 988, and crisis providers.)

Licensed to provide Behavioral Health services in the State of New Mexico (MD, DO, RN with Advance Practice

Registered Nurse [APRN] licensure with Board Certification in Psychiatry, psychologist, licensed independent social worker [LISW], professional clinical counselor [LPCC], or independent marriage and family therapist [LIMFT]) preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the development of crisis services that adhere to core and essential system requirements specified in Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administrations (SAMHSA) National Guidelines for Behavioral Health Crisis Care

Review and expand crisis network sufficiency to ensure the provision of a full array of crisis services geared towards the individual to maintain an individuals health and enhance quality of life

Lead the development of solution-focused and recovery-oriented interventions designed to avoid unnecessary hospitalization, incarceration, disruption of tenure in a community-based setting, or placement in a more segregated setting, utilizing a trauma informed and responsive care approach,

Develop local county-based stabilization services to prevent unnecessary transport outside of the community where the crisis is occurring

Ensure individuals are connected through warm handoffs throughout the crisis care continuum, to support the coordination of crisis services and connection to ongoing care following a crisis episode,

Ensure peer and family support services are available at all levels of crisis service delivery

Coordinate and collaborate across MCOs to develop, fund, and implement a roadmap for coordinated crisis system development

Engage with funders, providers, county, and state government, and first responders to understand the crisis system needs across the state

Collaborate with law enforcement to identify opportunities for jail diversion through crisis services.

Coordinate with existing crisis service providers to support a cohesive and collaborative service delivery system

Evaluate and understand opportunities to maximize funding sources to support the availability of crisis services to all New Mexico residents regardless of eligibility

Analyze, track, and trend crisis service utilization and outcome data in order to improve the delivery of crisis services,

Work collaboratively with the Vice President of Magellan Health to develop, maintain, and maximize a regional crisis network (including individuals, institutions, and facilities in statewide network)

Actively work to strengthen the crisis system of care progressively serving an increasing number of members with the goal of reducing the inappropriate use of EDs for primary MH and SUD services, and improving linkage and engagement in appropriate MH and SUD follow up treatment for those who present in EDs

Oversee the development of detailed policies and procedures, and flowcharted process, for all crisis system functions.

Maintain compliance of the crisis system with all appropriate state and federal psychiatric regulations, codes, contractual requirements, and state laws.
