Alterations Seamstress
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Alteration Seamstress is responsible for producing high quality altered merchandise within established timeframe standards while providing excellent customer service, establishing and helping to maintain customer relationships working effectively with other team members within the store.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
● Minimum 1-3 years seamstress/tailoring experience in high-end merchandise preferred
● Ability to sew a wide range of garments and fit both male and female clients
● Possession of strong technical background in specialty skills such as: leather knits, double face, beading, fine tailoring, buttonholes, etc. is desired and a benefit
● Pressing and spotting skills
● Knowledge of Alteration industry including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise
● Demonstrate sound business judgment and organizational ability
● Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment that requires a degree of multi-tasking with limited supervision
● Open to learning and developing new skills and processes
● Maintain production goals as assigned by supervisor, based on salary
● Properly fit and pin each garment in dressing room. Give estimates of alterations if requested.
● Properly fill out alteration ticket after each fitting
● Build relationship with clients for repeat business
● Contact clients after alterations are complete
● Always act in a professional and courteous manner towards clients
● Any other job as assigned by manager
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
