It is the mission of Mobile Medical Support to maintain and improve the health of seniors by providing comprehensive Audiology, Dental, Podiatry, and Vision care. Our goal is to bring compassionate, age appropriate care to seniors. We strive towards these goals by serving our patients based on their needs, rather than their coverage while continuously setting new standards in the Nursing Home Industry by exceeding our patients and facilities expectations.
We are looking for an exceptional person to join our audiology team in the Greater Detroit area! The Dispensing Audiologist is the face of the entire audiology department to their patients at nursing facilities, independent living facilities, and the PACE program.
Main Responsibilities ____________________________________________________________
- Preforms otoscopic evaluation
- Instruct patient in ear hygiene and control programs
- Review field team paperwork and making proper notation
- Complete Audiometric Evaluation
- Programming of hearing instruments including hearing aids, accessories, pocket talkers, etc.
- Fitting of hearing instruments
- Train and evaluate field team on performance and giving feedback
- Training facility staff on the care and use of hearing aids
- Provides superior customer service to our doctors, facilities, and their resident/family members

Other Responsibilities
- Maintains strict confidentiality of client, company and patient information
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization
- Hearing Aid servicing and ordering
- Tracking monthly field visits and metrics
- Recording billing information of services rendered
- Performs other duties as assigned
Travel Requirements
Travel throughout Southeast Michigan required. Mileage and automobile wear and tear reimbursement paid. Occasional travel to the UP may be required. Accommodations paid for overnight trips.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task and work in a diverse environment
Education and/or Experience
- AUD from qualified University
- Minimum of three (3) years audiology and dispensing experience
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Current Driver’s License - Active State of Michigan License
- Active billing NPI
- Ability to pass State of Michigan background check
Computer Skills
Proficiency using software programs such as: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook
- Hearing Aid Fitting SoftwarePreferred proficiency using: Salesforce or other CRM Practice Fusion or other EMR
- Google Drive
- Google Docs
Environmental Factors/Physical Demands
Work is performed in a nursing home and office environment. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
