Koziol Therapy and Coaching (KTAC), a growing private practice in Chicago, IL, is expanding and excited to add Full-Time Clinicians to the team! Thank you for considering being a part of our team.
All clinicians are hired as W2 employees (not as 1099 Independent Contractors). Prior to reaching a full caseload, clinician is considered Part-Time.
The right candidates are knowledgeable, skilled or curious to learn, and passionate about working with a variety of mental health conditions/diagnoses/populations, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, relationship issues, childhood trauma, complex trauma (C-PTSD), dissociative processes, adult-onset trauma, PTSD, anger management, couples, families, children, adolescents, adults, LGBTQIA+ population, etc. You will not be expected to work with all ages. It is important to find and know your niched age group(s). Candidates with experience and interest in working with childhood/complex trauma/C-PTSD and dissociation are highly encouraged to apply.
Work is a mix of remote and in-person. Reliable transportation to the office address is required to secure position.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current State of Illinois fully licensed clinician (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, Psy.D, Ph.D.). License must be active and unrestricted. Provisionally-licensed individuals (LPC, LSW, etc.) encouraged to apply. In-house supervision is offered for provisionally-licensed therapists. A different hourly rate applies to provisionally-licensed clinicians than stated above.
- Minimum of a Master's degree in the field of Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience providing psychotherapy to adult individuals and/or couples post-licensure (in private practice a plus, not required).
- Possess passion, drive, curiosity, and/or experience working with trauma histories and trauma disorders, including Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) and Dissociative Disorders.
- Clinician must possess a warm, compassionate, attuned, engaging, non-defensive, and non-judgmental style with the desire and skills to build strong and secure relationships with clients.
- Culturally-competent and culturally-sensitive individual who is able and willing to work with clients from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and trauma histories. Previous experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community a plus, but not required. Committed to personal and collective anti-racist work.
- Clinician must be independent, ambitious, and collaborative, with consistent desire to grow professionally and personally and to contribute positively to practice culture.
- This position offers a Mon-Fri schedule with required client-facing evening hours on clinician chosen days.
- NO weekend hours are required.
- Each Full-Time Clinician is required to complete at minimum 20 weekly sessions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide psychotherapy services via teletherapy and in-person sessions. You will not be expected to work with all ages. It is important to find and know your niched age group(s).
- Conduct full biopsychosocial intake assessments, including diagnosing using the DSM 5-TR, within an assigned time frame.
- Create client-individualized treatment plans, within an assigned time frame.
- Write regular session notes and keep all other client documentation updated and current, e.g., diagnosis, treatment plan, annual re-assessment notes, etc. in an online system within an assigned time frame.
- Maintain own scheduling of all clients, while adhering to all job expectations, policies and procedures related to scheduling, calendar-keeping, # of expected completed client sessions per week/month, etc.
- Participate in consultation or supervision in accordance with licensure law(s).
- Other job functions and responsibilities will be discussed during the interview and orientation phases.
- All job responsibilities are subject to change based on practice needs and client demand.
*We are also looking to fill the dual position of Staff Psychotherapist/Clinical Site Supervisor. Clinical Supervisors MUST hold an active and unrestricted clinical license in the state of IL.
