Employment Advisor
General Description: Assess, determine eligibility, enroll, advise and support DTA recipients in competitive integrated employment services (CIES) program designed to provide wrap-around services to increase workforce readiness, employability and long-term success of participants. Enroll participants in various workforce training programs. Work with training partner to support participants who enter a CDL (commercial driver’s license) training. Monitor and report on participant progress, identify and work to resolve barriers to success, maintain records in compliance with funder requirements. Prepare billings; track and respond to referrals.
Required qualifications: BA/BS degree; Must be proficient in Spanish; 1 year minimum experience in human services; experience working with low-income, at-risk populations.
Preferred qualifications: Experience counseling or advising low-income, at-risk participants. BA/BS in employment or rehab counseling or human services; ish).
