Ideal Candidate & Job Description
We are experiencing a high-volume increase in projects related ADU, soft story retrofit, and deck inspections (SB 326 and SB721). We are looking for a creative, dependable, and experienced candidate in the Los Angeles area to provide structural design calculations, framing details construction notes, respond to plan check comments and the ability to be on site for structural observations or balcony inspections, periodically.

The perspective candidate should have at minimum the following qualifications:
- 10+ years of structural design experience (Preferred: 20+ years, PE, SE)
- BS in Engineering (MS preferred)
- Highly proficient in structural design, calculations, plan layouts, and details
- Highly proficient in general office software including Microsoft Office, Dropbox, Google Drive, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, be punctual and detail oriented
- Highly proficient in SAP2000, Enercalc or similar structural software programs
- Drainage design experience, preferred.
- CAD experience, preferred.
- Self-motivated, self-managing, great work ethics and problem solving skills
- Remote work most days. Must be available for site visits in the greater Los Angeles area.
- US work authorization required

Pay: Up to $7,100.00 per month
