Responsible for greeting patients, ensuring accurate forms and insurance information are on file, and monitoring patient schedules and appointments.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, update their information in digital/physical charts, and alert the team of patient arrivals.
- Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations.
- Answer multi-line telephones courteously and promptly, retrieve and distribute messages, and ensure phone service is active when the office is closed.
- Respond to information requests from patients, other practices, and insurance carriers.
- Schedule and dispatch lab work, call the lab for pickups, alert the team of arrivals, and document in practice management software.
- Confirm appointments per company policy and follow up with patients regarding missed appointments.
- Collect and receive over-the-counter payments at the time of service.
- Sort and distribute supplies and mail to appropriate departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
