: Under the direct supervision of a Medical Provider, and/or Licensed Nurse, provides direct patient care to patients consistent with nursing program preparation. Provides nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Prepares equipment and assist a physician or other providers during treatment and examination of patient. Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and venipuncture as per Providers orders and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determines progress of patient. May administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing medical practitioner. May administer vaccinations under the providers orders. May prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, and hand items or assist physician or other medical practitioner. Must be able to document finding and recording in patient’s medical record. Maintains nursing area in neat and orderly condition.
