The HR Manager performs duties at the professional level in all of the following areas.: employee relations, training, recruitment/employment, benefits management, performance management, onboarding, policy development and implementation, employment law compliance and payroll functions. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The HR Manager must be sensitive to employee morale and organizational needs and will work closely with the CEO and CFO.
Responsibilities
- Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all organization employees: develops and implements policies and procedures to include the employee policies and procedures manual.
- Communicates with employees and management on various human resources policies, procedures, laws standards and other governmental relations.
- Maintains employee files
- Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises, creates/updates job descriptions as necessary.
- Assists negotiating and manage employee benefits plans, including claims resolutions: communicates benefits information to employees and manages open enrollment.
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt positions, conducts new employee orientations writes and places advertisements.
- Handles employee relations counseling, and performs sporadic exit interviews. Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary complaints.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Process bi-weekly payroll- using ADP Workforce Now
- Process all – Unemployment, Workers Compensation and FMLA documents.
- Knowledge of Finger Printing process
Requirements
- Proven working experience as HR manager or other HR executive
- People oriented and results driven
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Bilingual a plus
