```Overview```
Within a team, this role focuses on creation, analysis, correction, and reporting of data from enterprise-wide SQL databases. The 24/7 production environment contains multiple SQL database instances which form hold and support core internal functions across multiple business lines. The ideal candidate will focus on Ad-hoc and batch queries to support end-user, external customers, an array of data automation and propagation. On call support (evenings and weekends) as part of a rotating schedule is required.
```Responsibilities```
- Create and maintain a variety of SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Triggers and SQL
- Generate extracts of specific formatted data sets as requested
- Assist in planning data or schema changes
- Ensure ongoing data quality with monitoring, sanity checks, and other QA tool
- Synchronize data between source, repository and warehouse/datamart instances
- Work with production backups for DR/recovery to support other environments
- Be a resource for others to optimize queries, answer questions, and troubleshoot database related concerns
- Take ownership of reported data problems, work to ensure resolution of source data as well as occurances
- Propose creative and feasible alternatives when confronted with new problems.
- Assist in off-hours production support coverage with other members of on-call teams as needed.
- Incorporate various external data sources, such as manual and automated CSV, XML, SOAP, etc
```Qualifications```
- Hands-on experience with MSSQL 2019 and higher, 2023 preferred
- Proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio
- Knowledge of troubleshooting real-time MSSQL instances for performance or logic flaws. Preference towards experience with high-availability data center, or data services companies
- Prior experience supporting a data-driven web environment - HTML, ColdFusion,ASP.NET, VB.NET.
- Experience with SAP Crystal Reports or SSI/Dashboard is desirable
- Ability to identify, track, and successfully resolve issues in an n-tier architecture.
- Familiarity with DOS batch file generation and running SQL code from DOS.
- Ability to multitask, self-motivate, and produce results without direct supervision.
- Professional level of interaction across various departments especially in keeping confidential information
```Education and Experience```
- BS in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Sciences or equivalent education.
- Minimum 4 years paid experience in software development (must be with SQL database) or 2 years in a database programming or DBA/scripting position.
- 1+ years experience creating and maintaining complex stored procedures, triggers and SQL batch code.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server 2019 and up.
