Kitchen Manager - Nolita
Overview:
The Nolita Kitchen Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage the daily operations of the Nolita store. The Nolita manager oversees food quality, customer service, and provides support and training to Nolita kitchen employees. This role manages ordering systems, the general upkeep of the physical store, and communicates maintenance needs to the Company’s operations team, among other duties.
Summary of Responsibilities:

Training new employees and maintaining Company standards of service.

Support in catering events when needed.

Supporting and guiding kitchen team supervisors in running an efficient and consistent service.

Managers must be trained and efficient on all kitchen stations and be ready to work any station through service as well as guide and support line cooks through their responsibilities

Ordering of food and other relevant inventory according to Company standards

Following DOH food handling safety guidelines and procedures at all times

Responsible for maintaining FIFO system of all products

Maintaining communication and coordination with prep team and catering teams who also use the kitchen

Effectively problem-solving in order to maintain operations and restaurant standards.

Managing cleanliness, organization, and presentability of the restaurant at all times including opening and closing accuracy.

Managing and maintaining all company standards and expectations.
Qualifications:
-
Must have a NYC Food Handler’s License or willing to complete the certification in first 90 days of employment

1+ year(s) of experience managing staff to accomplish sales and guest service goals or 1 year managing in a similar role

Fast casual dining experience, preferably in a management or supervisory position

Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills

Familiarity and/or ability to navigate POS systems, ordering and delivery applications, and a general knowledge of technical platforms as related to the everyday operations of the restaurant

Availability to work a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends, and some holidays
