Our Excess Liability division is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our Orange, CA office. This position is 5 days a week in-office.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Performs a variety of moderately complex policy administration tasks in support of the business within established production and quality guidelines. Tasks may include:
Responsible for logging in/clearing all business in a timely manner
Prepares documents for processing after accounts are bound
Quality checks policy output against information sent to processing
Sets up and maintains new and renewal policies including file organization, requesting the necessary forms from HO, and reviews policies prior to giving the policies to the underwriters
Utilizes computerized systems for research, tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting (i.e., Excel/Word programs, legacy systems, internal systems, third party vendor delivered systems, etc.)
Sets up a virtual office and paper file for each submission
Prepares, assembles, and/or issues policy/endorsements and associated documentation
Develop and maintain a technical knowledge of the lead and excess liability endorsements
Corresponds with home office to resolve accounting, processing, and underwriting issues as needed
Researches and reconciles premium/billing accounting discrepancies. Responds to premium/billing questions
Handles requests for information from claims and broker loss run requests
Processes and mails Conditional Renewal Notices on a monthly basis
May perform other tasks including support, photocopying, imaging, data entry, and/or supply ordering functions
Receives, handles and distributes the mail
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Generally, 1 to 4 years of related experience.

The wage range for this job is based on role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, experience of the candidate, the role's scope, complexity, and other business and organizational needs.
