Pediatric Health Care Alliance is one the most respected pediatric medical groups in the country, comprised of more than 50 board certified pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners who have dedicated their careers to providing the best medical care for your children. The Alliance currently offers 15 neighborhood locations throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties.
We are currently looking for qualified candidates to join our team who enjoys working with children and providing quality care to them and their families within the following locations S Tampa locations:
- W Azeele Street
- S Manhattan
Candidates must be available to work a flexible full-time day shift. By flexible we mean that on some evenings you’ll work until around 6:00 PM. Once every month or so, you’ll work a ½ day on Saturday and Sunday. You’ll receive a 1/2 day off during the week in exchange for your weekend shift.
At times, this position will require travel to other surrounding area clinics to help with shifts.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Prior medical experience required, preferably in pediatrics.
- Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows
- Strong customer service skills and positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
- LPNs must be licensed.
- MAs must possess a nationally accredited certification or be able to obtain a certification within 90 days of hire: To be eligible to obtain an MA certification, you must be a graduate of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR served in the Armed Forces as a Medical Technician with honorable discharge OR obtain a letter of attestation from a currently licensed physician stating that you’ve worked as a Medical Assistant for at least two years within the last three years.
Essential Functions:
- Greet and escort patients and their families to the exam room.
- Obtain vitals (height, weight, blood pressure)
- Administer Injections and Immunizations
- Assist with triaging.
- Urinalysis
- Well and Sick visits.
- Assist with school physicals
- Room patients
- Additional back office clinical duties as ordered.
