Job Summary
This position is for a Wildland/Urban - Engine Boss and/or Captain role. It includes availability to respond to wildfires during the wildfire season, 24/7, and in the off season continue’s as a full time position with full benefits working in the wildfire industry. This job entails wildfire response as a strike team or single resource, mitigation work such as prescribed burning, pile burning, and risk assessments. In the off season and between wildfire events, the crew members engage in installing wildfire protection systems (construction work), mitigation services such as defensible space clearing, risk assessments, and other wildfire prevention services. We are currently hiring experienced Engine Bosses and Captains with certifications and at least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities and Duties
This job requires:
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to schedule for crew and oversee execution of plan
- Travel for up to two weeks at a time year round.
- Willingness to work long hours in all weather conditions.
- Lift upwards of 50 pounds
- Ability to comfortably use wildland firefighting tools (Pulaskis, chainsaws, etc.)
- Operate Type 6 Engines
- Clean Driving Record
Qualifications and Skills
- The duties of this position require that the member meet prescribed physical requirements as measured by the Work Capacity Fitness Test at the arduous level.
- Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and ability to provide documentation. Must comply with company vehicle policies.
- Must not engage in any prohibited activities as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Must be U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident.
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- This position requires full time work, which may include other job descriptions within the wildfire industry.
- Hiring and retention are contingent upon passing national and state background checks as well as a national FBI fingerprint check and medical exam.
- Must go through a company provided physical and drug test.
