Compensation:
$60 - $70 hourly
Responsibilities:-
Recommend community services or specialists for patients and family members in need
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Develop specific therapy plans with goals and objectives for individual patients
- Evaluate patients’ circumstances on a regular basis and provide necessary follow-up care
- Assess patients’ mental condition based on review of medical information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members
- Conduct outpatient therapy (50-minute sessions) in accordance with state regulations and professional licensure laws

Work a minimum of 10 client hours/sessions per week, with desire to grow into a full-time caseload over time

Provide therapy to individual and couples clients

Maintain scheduling of active clients and collect balances due at the time of service; utilizing the practice's electronic health record system

Maintain contact with the client’s other treatment providers to ensure optimum care, if necessary

Attend weekly (eventually biweekly) meetings to discuss administrative and clinical matters

See clients during some evenings and weekend hours

Participate actively in sessions with clients and uphold our values
Qualifications:-
Licensure in the state you reside as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or the equivalent is required
- Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and great communication and interpersonal skills
- This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in a field such as counseling or social work; we prefer a master’s degree
- Minimum 1-3 years experience providing therapy to both individuals and couples

Located within a comfortable commute distance to the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago

Passion and experience working with clients on issues in their primary relationships, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or other problem areas
