Job Title: Hydraulic Technician
Reports To: Production Manager
Overview:
Disassembles, cleans, inspects customer or company units for defects as required by technical data. Reassembles and test units. Use and exposure to various chemicals is required, including the use of hydraulic test stands, machine tools, soldering irons and blast media. Performs other associated duties as directed.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Follows process instructions.
- Disassemble, inspects and rebuilds break-valves, valves, actuators, and accumulators.
- Overhaul or production of defect-free assemblies, and notification to lead person or Supervisor if a defect is found.
- Other responsibilities to timely satisfy customer order.
Education: High School preferred. Relevant trade school required. Relevant certification preferred.
Experience: Three (3) years’ experience reading blueprints and helping plan aeronautical repair overhaul jobs. Sheet metal fabrication or military aircraft structure repair experience required.
Required skills: Blueprint reading required. Experienced with close tolerance measuring devices, i.e., dial calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and other shop measuring equipment. Use of hand and power tools. Fluent in reading, writing, and verbal English communication to effectively read, interpret blueprints, manuals, labels, imprints, stamps, and Quantum etc.
Technicians are required to bring their own toolbox with standard tools (screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches, etc.).

Physical Requirements of Technicians:
- Technicians are required to lift aircraft parts up to 50 lbs unassisted. Parts, material, and boxes beyond 40lbs must be lifted with another or via tool or equipment per our back safety procedures.
- Technicians are required to bend, squat, twist, reach aircraft parts and tools to inspect and repair aircraft. Walking throughout shop is required. Sitting and/or standing for many hours to focus on repairing parts is required. Technicians are required to use a variety of tools including pneumatic tools daily, often frequently throughout workday.
- Detailed use of fingers and hands is required. Technicians are required to see detailed colors, grooves, wires, shapes, gears, and detailed aircraft part flaws. Technicians are required to distinguish colors of parts and compliance paperwork. Technicians are required to focus on tasks to satisfy timely.
- All applicable personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety footwear required.
- Must use computer keyboard and mouse to enter part and repair information into Quantum.
- This position is safety sensitive

Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High School or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Aircraft related hydraulic systems
REQUIRED SKILLS: Average hand dexterity, sufficient eyesight. Able to lift 20-40 lbs.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
