Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant or Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various accounting tasks and possess a strong understanding of financial data. Experience with Quickbooks, QBO and Excel a plus. Multitasking is important as you will be handling multiple companies in multiple industries.
Duties:
- Prepare invoices and billing statements
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
- Handle tax preparation and filing activities
- Utilize accounting software to process transactions accurately
- Payroll processing
- Input invoices and prepare checks for payment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor Degree a plus, experience a plus
- Proven work experience as an Accountant/Bookkeeper or similar role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks/QBO, Excel and other accounting software
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting standards
- Understanding of tax procedures and compliance
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports
- Knowledge of debits, credits, and financial statements
- Technical expertise in financial accounting
