Water Truck Driver
The water truck driver position performs a variety of transportation duties in the Delta yard. Water Truck Driver operates water trucks used in the facility only, may be requested to perform a variety of semi skilled tasks in the plant, and or pit areas. Must adhere to all MSHA and OSHA requirements and focus on safety. Will operate equipment around other heavy equipment, personnel, customers and public. This position has the potential for permanent employment, and to be trained as a class A driver.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Perform safety inspections and write ups
· Must be able to safely operate the required vehicles
· Must be able to drive a stick shift/manual transmission
· Reports any issues to management
· Must have excellent time management
· Focus on Safety
· Performs all labor duties as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent is required and must be at least 18 years of age
· Must be able to operate a manual transmission
· Farm and or heavy equipment experience preferred
· Must have good communication skills and be able to take direction well
· Must submit current 5-year MVR for review
· Current and valid Oregon Driver's License Class “C”
· Must be able to drive a manual transmission
· Be able to work overtime, including some Saturdays.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to lift up to #50lbs without assistance bend, and stoop, climb, squat, kneel, reach, grip, and use sight and fine motor skills, etc.
- Pushing / Pulling up to 50lbs without assistance
- Exposed to dirty conditions and must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Position will be exposed to various weather conditions, rain, sleet, snow, wind heat and cold.
- Jobs are performed in outside environment with close proximity to yard traffic, heavy construction equipment and hazardous conditions.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in all weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.
