If so, we invite you to join our team supporting the Camden City School District (CCSD) as the Manager, District & School Support.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Manager, Camden Recycling Initiative will spearhead innovative waste management initiatives across CCSD. This pivotal role offers the unique opportunity to impact both the lives of children and the environmental health of the City of Camden. As the local leader of this transformative project, you will work closely with district and school leaders to educate and train on recycling and composting practices, ensuring the successful implementation of all grant goals and requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the Charge: Conduct thorough assessments, set ambitious waste reduction goals, and develop and implement strategies to achieve these objectives.
- Educate and Empower: Increase awareness and knowledge about sustainable practices through comprehensive training programs for district and school green teams.
- Monitor and Improve: Regularly track progress and provide actionable insights to continually enhance waste reduction efforts across the district and city.
- Build Partnerships: Collaborate with a diverse array of stakeholders including district and school staff, vendors, city officials, and community organizations to centralize and amplify waste management initiatives.
- Drive Engagement: Lead marketing and social media campaigns to promote waste reduction programs, fostering a culture of sustainability within the community.
- Mentor Future Leaders: Directly manage the Coordinator, Student Programs, nurturing their growth and ensuring alignment with the district’s sustainability goals.
