Responsible for monitoring and protecting Wickliffe Corporate Headquarters facility employees and intellectual property from unauthorized personnel by investigating, observing, and reporting suspicious activity and responding to emergency incidents to ensure a safe working environment for the employees, visitors, and community.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the access control system to verify authorized personnel and visitors
- Process all visitors, deliveries, and contractors and direct to appropriate areas
- Conduct patrols of the site perimeter, labs, tank farms, and office buildings
- Monitor closed circuit television (CCTV) to identify potential threats
- Provide detailed reports of observations and incidents
- Work with Health, Safety, and Environmental staff on shared activities
- Ensure security and safety standards are being followed
- Act as point of contact for internal and external responders during emergencies
- Dispatch emergency personnel in the event of a plant emergency
- Provide support for chemical spills, accidents, and security breaches
- Monitor the fire and life safety systems (e.g., sprinklers) for upset conditions and notify appropriate personnel
- Provide answering services during non-business hours (e.g., SDS requests, transportation incidents)
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Provide support to HR during employee separations
- Conduct executive escorts
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Perform daily checks of security systems and report any problems
- Provide gate coverage as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Skills, Qualifications, Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of Security experience (preferred)
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work in a team environment with contract officers
- Must possess basic computer skills
- Experience with integrated systems (preferred)
- Ability to multi-task when competing priorities are present
Working Conditions

- Provide shift /weekend support as needed
- Have the ability to stand/walk for extended periods
Considered a plus
- Associate degree in criminal justice or similar field
- Experience with access control software
- Experience at a chemical facility or similar
- Certifications – CVI, NIMS, Ohio Peace Officer Certification (OPOTA)
