Perform duties as warehouse logistics support to help maintain Swanson & Youngdale safety, quality, and production standards while professionally supporting the field staff as need to complete projects.
Material & Tool Coordination
· Assist in the development of workflow, manning and space requirements in relation to warehouse while ensuring productivity, quality and customer services standards are met
· Assist in streamlining shipping and transportation process
· Work with field to develop maintain and track tools & consumables
Equipment Maintenance
· Inspect equipment, tools and machinery to ensure proper functionality
· As needed assist in maintenance or repairs of paint pumps, equipment and paste machines
Inventory
· Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through phones/tablets.
· Assist in month end & annual inventory processes
· Working knowledge, developing towards super user, in inventory systems (ToolWatch)
Additional Duties and Tasks
· General housekeeping to include sweeping, floor cleaning and maintaining organization for warehouse and yard areas
Customer Relations
· Communicate with internal and external customers as necessary to facilitate project completion
Physical Demands
· Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and to talk and hear
· Regularly required to lift 10-50 lbs. and occasionally lift, move objects that way more than 100 lbs.
· Consistently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
· Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
Skills/Qualifications:
Highly organized, self-starter with effective communication skills. Customer service focused possessing a positive attitude. Effective time management, problem solving and prioritizing skills; Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Swanson & Youngdale’s fleet policy requirements (Class A preferred); Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite
