Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Sales and Customer Service Representative to manage interactions with both our local customers and those discovering us online through our digital sales channels. While knowledge of boats and the marine industry is a plus, it is not a requirement. We offer specialized training in selling and servicing liferafts to ensure all new hires are well-equipped for success. This is a full-time, in-person position based at our headquarters in York, Maine, where you will become an integral part of our dedicated team.
Routine Responsibilities:
- Manage online customer communication through email, chat, and social messaging.
- Answer incoming calls about product questions and other customer needs.
- Process new orders online, over the phone, and in person.
- Assist with shipping and order fulfillment.
- Develop expert knowledge of our products and services to provide accurate and helpful information to potential customers.
- Handle customer issues, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives, and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents.
- Analyze customer interactions to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate on digital marketing strategy.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly navigate between systems while maintaining accuracy.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
- Customer-oriented with the ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
