ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- The Purchasing & Logistics Manager (Field Joint Coating) is responsible for managing supply chain requirements -- from order entry to planning and procurement to logistics -- ensuring products are purchased and production is planned in accordance with project demands
THIS ROLE WILL:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate terms and agreements in cooperation with Legal, and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and favorable terms
- Manage logistics to ensure customer expectations are being met or exceeded
- Manage work order processing is occurring in a timely fashion to ensure successful completion times are achievable in production
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business goals and industry best practices
- Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers, source new products or services, and assess market trends to make informed procurement decisions
- Collaborate with other departments and leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions
- Assess current material availability and reasonably predict future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain and/or implement purchasing and recordkeeping systems
- Assist with project packing load-out as necessary
- Act as the company’s representative in negotiations with suppliers
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the procurement function
- Coordinates removal or disposal of surplus materials
- Actively participate and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through ISO9001:2015
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management
- Working knowledge of purchasing, sourcing, supplier performance management, supply chain. and inventory strategies and practices
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- General working knowledge of SAP purchasing modules
- Strong computer skills including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Excellent collaboration and verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and demanding environment
- Self-directed with excellent initiative and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy
- Work well under stress and be able to deliver on time
- Ability to work seamlessly with a remote (international) team
- Flexibility and willingness to learn
- This role is an in-office role, so the selected candidate will be expected in the Katy, Texas office Monday – Friday during normal business hours

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE THAT SET YOU APART:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred (otherwise, an equivalent combination of education and experience is required)
- CPM or APICS certification is helpful but not required
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Supply Chain or Purchasing management with demonstrated experience in cost reduction, domestically and internationally
- Oil and Gas industry experience
- Global Logistics experience
- Proven history developing effective inventory management policies
- Demonstrated competency in strategic sourcing

Pay: $57,549.29 - $69,306.66 per year
