The Applications Developer will provide technical expertise and support to the New York City Department of Probation in the software development and maintenance. This individual will work closely with other members of application development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
- Conduct software testing to ensure quality and functionality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop technical solutions that meet client requirements
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers
- Continuously learn and stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
- Troubleshoot and debug software applications as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and ten years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
