PowerPro Equipment is seeking Heavy Construction Equipment road mechanics to join our team. The right candidate will have a background in working with heavy equipment, and be responsible for proper diagnosis and repairs and communicating effectively and professionally to the customer. This position requires a high level of independency and focus to work around machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, as well as regular communication with the rest of the team.
PowerPro Equipment is a family-owned business selling, servicing and renting Outdoor Power and Heavy Construction Equipment from 11 locations in PA and NJ. We are growing and seeking experienced, proficient or master skill level diesel mechanics to provide accurate and efficient service and repair at the customer's location.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain Pettibone, Hydro Mobile, XCMG, and related Construction Equipment at the customer's location.
- Responsibilities include diagnosing engine, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical problems remotely away from the shop.
- Perform service and repair at customer location using service van/truck.
- Clearly explain (if called upon) to the customer’s satisfaction the diagnosis and repair of the machine in question.
- Continually seek both technical and product training when available
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, improve and promote quality, and monitor own work to ensure quality
- Observe all safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly
- Work with integrity, always upholding company values
- Perform related responsibilities/accountabilities as required or directed
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Ability to understand and provide for the customer needs.
- Positive attitude, exuding courtesy and helpfulness.
- Organized and detail oriented, ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and work in all kinds of weather.
- Valid driver license with good MVR and the ability to pass and maintain DOT medical certification.
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment physical and drug screening upon job offer; employment contingent on passing results.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience
- Diesel Technology or Heavy Construction Equipment education preferred

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
