General Manager
- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic team leader to oversee operations for an tent and event rental company. Must have experience managing others, have 4+ years working in the event rental industry, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Skills/Duties include:
- Overseeing sales, delivery and warehouse team members, including assistant management.
- Manage staff and hold weekly meetings.
- Dedicated leader who can help keep crew members on task, organized and working efficiently.
- Expert in logistics (rental prep and delivery routes).
- Help schedule staff, while providing support for payroll and procurement.
- Help track expenses and job costs to ensure events are within budget.
- Oversee event logistics, including venue sites, setup, and breakdown
- Manage event timelines to ensure all activities are executed on schedule
- Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during events
Requirements:
- Schedule may vary from week to week with weekend shifts, some night shifts required.
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE managing in the event industry (knowledge of tents preferable).
- Must me willing to jump in and do what it takes to get the job done
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Familiarity with contract negotiation and vendor management
- Understanding of the tent and event industry and the ability to manage all aspects of the day to day operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
